Fees
If you have never hired a criminal defense lawyer, you may not be aware of the fees and costs that defense lawyers charge. There are also issues regarding how the fee will be paid.
The amount that you may expect to pay for legal services in a criminal case normally depends on the nature of the criminal charge against you, the complexity of the evidence, length of the expected trial, amount of pre-trial preparation necessary, and finally, the experience and expertise of the lawyer.
More challenging and complex criminal charges justify a larger fee. The attorneys at Scott & Medling, PA will evaluate your case and quote you a fee for representation at the time of your first consultation. If you have elected to consult with us after reviewing our website, please mention that fact when you make your appointment and we will provide you a complimentary initial consultation. There will be no fee for that consultation and if you wish to retain us after confidentially discussing your situation with us in our office, you may pay us for further representation at that time.
