WHAT ARE THE REGULATIONS REGARDING HANDLEBAR HEIGHT?

ARE HELMET SPEAKERS ALLOWED?

No earphones allowed. Helmet speakers are allowed.

IS LANE SPLITTING ALLOWED?

No. The operator of a motorcycle shall not overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken. No person shall operate a motorcycle between lanes of traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles; Florida Statutes, 316.209 (2), (3)

IS THERE LEMON LAW COVERAGE?

No.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SOUND LEVEL?

Manufactured before 1/1/79–82 dBA (35 mph or less); 86 dBA (over 35 mph).

Manufactured after 1/1/79–78 dBA (35 mph or less); 82 dBA (over 35 mph).

CAN MOTORCYCLES LEGALLY OPERATE TWO ABREAST IN THE SAME LANE?

Yes. All motorcycles are entitled to full use of a lane and no motor vehicle shall be driven in such manner as to deprive any motorcycle of the full use of a lane. This subsection shall not apply to motorcycles operated two abreast in a single lane. Motorcycles shall not be operated more than two abreast in a single lane; Florida Statutes, 316.209 (1), (4)
